During the Singapore FinTech Festival, the Responsible Fintech Institute (RFI) welcomed representatives from Taiwan’s fintech, sustainability, academic, and public sector communities for a discussion on emerging developments in digital finance and sustainable innovation.

RFI Chairman Chia Hock Lai and CTO YongCheng Zhang met with members of the Kaohsiung Finnovation Hub, together with distinguished participants including Professor Chien Te Fan, Dean of the College of Sustainability at National Tsing Hua University, and Lin Liao Chia-Hung, Deputy Director of the Economic Development Bureau of the Kaohsiung City Government.

The discussion explored a range of topics shaping the future of digital finance, including green fintech, ESG-related initiatives, AI-driven financial innovation, and the development of trusted digital infrastructure. Participants also exchanged perspectives on digital transformation strategies and initiatives supporting sustainability and net-zero objectives.

The meeting highlighted the growing importance of cross-border collaboration between industry, academia, and government stakeholders in addressing both innovation and governance challenges. As digital finance continues to evolve across Asia, such exchanges provide valuable opportunities to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and explore practical approaches to responsible innovation.
