The Responsible Fintech Institute (RFI) is proud to announce its official launch as a global nonprofit organisation headquartered in Singapore, dedicated to building the governance frameworks, collaborative networks, and digital infrastructure needed to support responsible innovation in digital finance.
The launch was formally announced during the Digital Assets Summit 2025, where RFI participated as the Title Sponsor and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Digital Assets Association (DAA) to strengthen collaboration across the digital finance ecosystem.
Building the Foundation for Trusted Digital Finance
As financial services continue to evolve through digital assets, blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and cross-border financial innovation, institutions face growing challenges in trust, compliance, interoperability, and governance.
While technology continues to advance rapidly, the supporting frameworks that enable institutions, regulators, and market participants to collaborate effectively have not always evolved at the same pace.
RFI was established to address this gap.
Our mission is to bridge traditional finance and emerging digital financial systems by developing practical governance frameworks, industry standards, and digital utilities that enable safer and more trusted participation in the digital economy.
By bringing together financial institutions, regulators, technology providers, policymakers, academics, and industry practitioners, RFI aims to foster collaboration that supports both innovation and responsible growth.
A Multi-Stakeholder Alliance
RFI is supported by a distinguished group of founding members and strategic partners representing traditional finance, fintech, cybersecurity, compliance, and digital asset innovation.
Founding participants include organisations such as Bison Group (supported by Bison Bank), OKG Technology, Remi Technology, VerifyVASP, and SlowMist.
This diverse coalition reflects RFI’s belief that the future of finance cannot be built by any single sector alone. Meaningful progress requires collaboration across industries, jurisdictions, and disciplines.
Introducing VITA
One of RFI’s first major initiatives is the Verified Identity & Trust Alliance (VITA), a collaborative network designed to enhance trust and compliance across digital finance ecosystems.
VITA enables participating institutions to share trusted verification outcomes while reducing duplication in customer due diligence processes. Through privacy-preserving verification mechanisms, wallet verification capabilities, and risk intelligence frameworks, VITA seeks to strengthen confidence in digital transactions while supporting regulatory compliance and user privacy.
By establishing a shared trust infrastructure, VITA aims to help institutions improve operational efficiency, reduce onboarding friction, and better manage risk in an increasingly interconnected financial environment.
Looking Ahead
The launch of RFI marks the beginning of a long-term effort to build the foundations required for trusted and interoperable digital finance.
Through industry collaboration, policy engagement, research initiatives, fellowship programmes, and practical digital utilities such as VITA, RFI will continue working with stakeholders worldwide to advance responsible innovation and strengthen trust across the digital economy.
We believe the future of finance must be innovative, inclusive, interoperable, and above all, trustworthy. RFI looks forward to contributing to that future alongside its partners, members, and the broader global community.
