Responsible Fintech Institute (RFI) CTO YongCheng Zhang recently participated in the AI for Good: for Health, for Smart City forum in Taiwan, joining experts from academia, industry, and the public sector to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in shaping future digital ecosystems.

The forum explored a range of topics related to AI-driven innovation, smart city development, and digital transformation. Discussions examined how emerging technologies can enhance public services, improve operational efficiency, and support sustainable urban development, while also addressing the governance considerations necessary for responsible deployment.

During the event, participants exchanged perspectives on the importance of balancing technological advancement with effective governance frameworks. As AI adoption continues to accelerate across sectors, issues such as transparency, accountability, and public trust remain central to ensuring that innovation delivers long-term societal benefits.

The forum also provided an opportunity for engagement with representatives from Taiwan’s academic and policy communities, including Professor Kuei Peng Lee (李魁鹏) of National Taipei University of Technology and Professor Chen Chun-Shan (陈春山) of the Taiwan Digital Governance Association. Their contributions highlighted the growing importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence.
